Bringing joy through BIG flavours, fresh (and organic when possible) ingredients and creative recipes using seasonal and locally sourced plant-based produce is what Little Ginger loves to do!
I began my love of food at a young age (no embarrassing photos here!) and picked up my love of creative (often crazy!) cooking from my amazing mum who could feed anyone and everyone with just a handful of ingredients and a big heap of fun.
After Uni I studied at the Vegetarian Society catering school and worked in different food outlets and restaurants including a Deli, The Wholemeal Vegetarian Cafe, The Gate Restaurant as well a stint catering with a firm providing food for bands on tour. Whilst adventuring through Asia, Australia and New Zealand I was introduced to an exciting world of street food and new flavours.
Throughout my 15 years of teaching in Primary schools my love of food and cooking for people grew and grew; always feeding friends and family and cooking for lots of new friends through supper clubs and parties. Learning about new ingredients and exciting recipes at every opportunity, cooking in kitchens from Nepal to Mexico.
My journey led me to start up Little Ginger street food in August 2016; starting out as a weekend pop-up stall serving delicious Vegan food until securing a permanent spot at Unit 17, Ancient Market Place Kingston Upon Thames, London. We have since left Kingston and we now concentrate on Popup Events and Catering.
Little Ginger offers a bespoke service for supper clubs, dinner parties, weddings and more!
